Aloo Paneer Paratha

After a long break and a busy life with my lil one i am back friends :)..I am happy to start with a yummy recipe.Took it from a television cookery show and gave it a try.Came out great .So thought of sharing it with u people :).Hoping to post more recipes.HAVE A GREAT DAY..Enjoy!!!!

For the filling

Ingredients

Onion-1 medium sized chopped finely

Potato-2 nos

Paneer-100g

Tomato-1 no chopped

Chilli powder-1 1/2 tsp

Garam masala-1/2 tsp

Jeera powder-1/2 tsp

Kasoorimethi-ahandfull

Lime juice-juice of 1/2 lime

Coriander leaves-a few chopped

Salt

Oil

Method

Boil potatoes and mash it and keep aside.Finely grate the paneer with hands.

Heat oil in a pan.Add chilli powder and as soon as the roasted smell comes add kasuri methi.Then add onion and saute for sometime or until it becomes soft.Add tomato and saute.Then mix in the boiled and mashed potatoes.To this add jeera powder,garam masala,grated paneer ,salt and lime juice.Mix it well.Finally add the chopped coriander leaves.

 

For paratha

Ingredients

Wheat flour-2 cups

Water

Oil

Salt

Method

Knead into a smooth dough and make big balls out of it.Roll it into big rounds.Place the aloo paneer filling on one side of paratha and fold it and press the ends softly so that the filling doesn’t come out.Give it a little shake so that the filling is distributed evenly. Heat a tawa.Add  some butter/oil and cook the parathas until done.

Enjoy with some pickle and curd.
